Have you ever overheard conversations that just made you roll your eyes and think, "I don't need to be hearing this here!"? The truth is, many people air their dirty laundry anywhere and at any time there is always an ear willing (voluntarily or forced), to listen to the vents. And for some reason, is always the women who do it.
Mid-aged married women and/or with kids are the ones that I've seen have talked about their struggles with the husband or with the kids... or both. That the kids don't listen, that they don't pick up after themselves, that the husband didn't pay attention to her because he was tired, or he watched tv and then went to sleep... whatever the case, they are always complaining about their private lives, some of the times with co-workers or even cashiers at the grocery store.
And my only question to them is this: why?
Why would you talk badly about your loved ones?
Why would you poison the ears of young mothers/wives that are new to the live you've lived many years?
In some cases, why to strangers?
I am a relatively new wife (some might say newly-wed), and I am going to be a new mother very soon. I really don't need to be hearing women trash-talking about their family like that. If anything, I believe they should be ashamed of themselves for doing such thing. That is not what a wife or mother should be doing, even when husband or kids don't even know what's going on.
If it bothers them so much, them venting their dirty laundry on other people will not make it clean.
